Real websites, real cleanup

Case studies for websites that had actual jobs to do.

These aren't fake agency mockups or pretty pixels with no job. These are real client projects where the old site was confusing people, missing leads, attracting the wrong buyers, or simply didn't exist yet.

real client problems, cleaned up

Before DewBwah stepped in

The pattern is pretty simple.

Bad websites usually don't fail loudly. They quietly confuse people, hide the reason to trust you, make forms annoying, ignore SEO, and let better-presented competitors steal work they may not even deserve. Rude, but accurate.

Rebrand CleanupLead CaptureRemodeler Website

Design-build remodeling / Kansas City + Johnson County

Built by Design

What was broken

Built by Design came in with a site that felt wildly out of sync with the level of work they actually do. The old agency had them living in bright orange and lime green, which is a brave choice if you're selling smoothies, less so if you're selling premium remodeling.

What we fixed

We rebuilt the site around craft, project fit, stronger visual proof, and a real lead path. The new site gives serious homeowners a clearer reason to reach out and gives Built by Design a form that can actually capture interest before it disappears into the internet fog.

Gen 3 IV Hydration and Wellness website homepage designed by DewBwah

Functional medicine + wellness

Gen 3 IV Hydration & Wellness

Kansas City + Blue Springs

Before: Gen 3 had a site, but it wasn't clearly explaining what they did, who they helped, or why a patient should care. The offer was more advanced than the website made it look, and the SEO structure wasn't giving Google much to work with.

After: We rebuilt the messaging around symptoms, root-cause care, services, locations, and patient intent. Instead of making people decode the clinic, the site now makes it easier to understand the path, trust the team, and take the next step.

New WebsiteService ClaritySenior Services

Senior downsizing + transition support

Helping Hand on Demand

Blue Springs + Kansas City Metro

Before: Helping Hand on Demand didn't have a website at all, which meant Cheryl was relying on referrals, explanations, and a whole lot of repeating herself. For a sensitive service, that leaves too much trust-building to chance.

After: We gave the business a calm, clear website that explains the service without making families feel sold to. The page structure helps people understand what Cheryl does, when to call, and why steady help matters during a stressful transition.

New WebsiteOrganization WebsiteCredibility

Security professional association

NASP

National organization

Before: NASP didn't have a website, which is a problem when you're trying to build trust, communicate training, and give security professionals a real place to understand the organization.

After: We created a site that gives the association a credible public home, explains the mission, and makes the next step obvious. The site feels structured, legitimate, and easy to scan without turning into a lifeless brochure.

Commercial security + low voltage

Bezemer Industries

Clovis + Fresno, California

Before: Bezemer had an outdated website that didn't match the credibility of the actual company. Their services were too important to be trapped inside a site that looked behind, sounded generic, and wasn't helping them rank for the work they wanted.

After: We rebuilt the site around commercial security, low-voltage infrastructure, service categories, and local California search intent. Now the website explains the work clearly and supports rankings for the services Bezemer actually wants to sell.

Valor Business and Tax Services website homepage designed by DewBwah

CPA + tax strategy

Valor Business & Tax Services

Kansas City

Before: Valor had a website, but it was outdated, the forms were wonky, and the message was pulling in the wrong people. Not exactly ideal when your best clients need strategy, not bargain-bin tax-season chaos.

After: We cleaned up the brand, sharpened the positioning around serious business owners and contractors, and rebuilt the site so the forms, calls to action, and service pages matched the type of clients Valor actually wants.

NSB local business directory website homepage designed by DewBwah
New WebsiteDirectoryLocal Business

Local business directory

NSB

Kansas City Northland

Before: NSB didn't have a site, which made the idea harder to explain and harder to grow. A local business directory can't live in someone's head and a handful of conversations forever.

After: We built a clean, useful directory experience around Northland businesses, categories, referrals, and simple submission paths. The result gives the community a real place to find and share local companies without digging through comment threads.

SpawtOn mobile pet services website homepage designed by DewBwah

Mobile pet care

SpawtOn

South Kansas City

Before: SpawtOn had a website, but it wasn't attracting the right people or explaining the full value of what Jamie does. When your service is specialized, gentle, and deeply personal, vague pet-care copy isn't enough.

After: We rebuilt the site around low-stress care, anxious pets, senior companions, trust, service clarity, and the kind of client fit Jamie actually needs. The website now helps people understand why SpawtOn isn't just another pet-care option.

Berry's Lock Service website homepage designed by DewBwah
Local ServiceTrust SignalsConversion

Locksmith + security

Berry's Lock Service

Greater Kansas City

Before: Berry's Lock wasn't attracting the right attention because the old website was rough. And when someone is locked out, stressed, or dealing with a security issue, the website has about three seconds to look trustworthy.

After: We built a cleaner local service site with clearer emergency messaging, stronger trust signals, direct calls to action, and service proof that helps people feel like they're calling a real professional, not playing locksmith roulette.

The actual lesson

Pretty is cute. Clear gets hired.

Every one of these projects had a different surface problem: no site, old site, bad forms, weak SEO, messy messaging, wrong audience, weak landing page. Underneath, though, it was the same issue: people couldn't understand why they should trust the business fast enough.
