Real websites, real cleanup

Case studies for websites that had actual jobs to do.

These aren't fake agency mockups or pretty pixels with no job. These are real client projects where the old site was confusing people, missing leads, attracting the wrong buyers, or simply didn't exist yet.

real client problems, cleaned up

Before DewBwah stepped in

The pattern is pretty simple.

Bad websites usually don't fail loudly. They quietly confuse people, hide the reason to trust you, make forms annoying, ignore SEO, and let better-presented competitors steal work they may not even deserve. Rude, but accurate.

Technical SEOIndexing CleanupRemodeler SEO

Design-build remodeling + technical SEO / Overland Park + Johnson County

Built by Design

What was broken

Built by Design had a clean new site with real project proof, strong service pages, and growing impressions. The problem was quieter: 26 of 65 pages were indexed, and the pages built for their best local searches were missing.

What we fixed

We consolidated duplicate project URLs, rebuilt thin gallery pages into real project stories, reconnected old WordPress URLs, cleaned the sitemap, cut unsupported city pages, and showed them why authority had to come next.

Bezemer Industries revised website mockup designed by DewBwah
SEOTrade WebsiteService Pages

Commercial security + low voltage

Bezemer Industries

Clovis + Fresno, California

What was broken

Bezemer had an outdated website that didn't match the credibility of the actual company. Their services were too important to be trapped inside a site that looked behind, sounded generic, and wasn't helping them rank for the work they wanted.

What we fixed

We rebuilt the site around commercial security, low-voltage infrastructure, service categories, and local California search intent. Now the website explains the work clearly and supports rankings for the services Bezemer actually wants to sell.

Grateful Hauling and Delivery revised website mockup designed by DewBwah
Service ExpansionCommercial PositioningQuote Flow

Junk removal + hauling

Grateful Hauling and Delivery

Kansas City Metro

What was broken

Grateful Hauling and Delivery was relying on a one-page Squarespace site that left most of the business unexplained. Visitors had to work too hard to understand what the crew handled, who each service was for, and newer offerings weren't represented at all.

What we fixed

We rebuilt the site around clear residential and commercial service paths, property-manager needs, service areas, proof, and quote requests. The expanded structure now explains the full scope of the work, so the right customers can quickly see the fit and take action.

Residential + commercial cleaning

Tidy KC

Blue Springs + Kansas City Metro

What was broken

Tidy KC had a stock-template website that could have belonged to almost any cleaning company. The branding barely reflected the owner, and the site didn't explain the full range of residential and commercial services or give visitors much reason to trust the team.

What we fixed

We rebuilt the site around her personality, standards, services, and approach to caring for lived-in homes and businesses. Detailed service content, real project photos, and strong customer reviews now show what Tidy KC does, how the team works, and why clients trust them.

Valor Business and Tax Services revised website mockup designed by DewBwah
Brand PositioningFormsCPA Website

CPA + tax strategy

Valor Business & Tax Services

Kansas City

What was broken

Valor had a website, but it was outdated, the forms were wonky, and the message was pulling in the wrong people. Not exactly ideal when your best clients need strategy, not bargain-bin tax-season chaos.

What we fixed

We cleaned up the brand, sharpened the positioning around serious business owners and contractors, and rebuilt the site so the forms, calls to action, and service pages matched the type of clients Valor actually wants.

Hummingbird Staging and Interiors revised website mockup designed by DewBwah
New Brand LaunchService PositioningPortfolio Website

Home staging + interior design

Hummingbird Staging & Interiors

Olathe, Kansas

What was broken

Hummingbird was launching as a new staging and interior design company without an established website to introduce the brand, explain the services, or give Olathe homeowners and real-estate agents a clear way to start.

What we fixed

We built the website from the ground up around her elegant brand, service lineup, portfolio, agent resources, and consultation path. The finished site gives the new business a polished public home that feels as thoughtful and distinctive as the spaces she creates.

Massage therapy + bodywork

Muscle Movement & Improvement

Liberty + Kansas City Northland

What was broken

Muscle Movement & Improvement had a website, but it felt pieced together instead of intentionally structured. The pages didn't create a clear path for visitors or fully explain the range of massage and bodywork techniques behind the practice.

What we fixed

We reorganized the site around pain, movement, services, training, reviews, locations, and booking. Each massage technique now has room to be understood, so visitors can see the depth of experience, find the right service, and book with confidence.

Diagnostic consulting + strategy

Rahmah Ruqayyah Consulting

Virtual consulting

What was broken

Rahmah Ruqayyah Consulting was working from a single-page site that left too much of the business unexplained. Visitors could see the brand, but they couldn't easily understand the full scope of Ruqayyah's work, how her method worked, or the depth of education and experience behind it.

What we fixed

We expanded the site into a clear, story-led experience that explains her diagnostic approach, services, method, and expertise. The new structure helps visitors understand what she does, why her process is different, and which next step is right for them.

Healing with Dogs KC revised website mockup designed by DewBwah
Nonprofit LaunchMission-Led BrandMobile Dog Care

Mobile restorative bathing + nonprofit dog welfare

Healing with Dogs KC

Kansas City Metro

What was broken

Healing with Dogs KC was a new 501(c)(3) with a specialized service and a much bigger mission, but it needed one clear place to explain why restorative bathing is different from a traditional bath, and how every appointment helps support healing for shelter dogs.

What we fixed

We built the website around Jamie's two connected goals: bringing calm, restorative skin and coat care to dogs with chronic issues, and helping shelter dogs heal faster. The site explains the mobile service, guides families into the right intake flow, and makes the nonprofit mission part of the story rather than an afterthought.

Northland Small Business revised website mockup designed by DewBwah
New WebsiteDirectoryLocal Business

Local business directory

NSB

Kansas City Northland

What was broken

NSB didn't have a site, which made the idea harder to explain and harder to grow. A local business directory can't live in someone's head and a handful of conversations forever.

What we fixed

We built a clean, useful directory experience around Northland businesses, categories, referrals, and simple submission paths. The result gives the community a real place to find and share local companies without digging through comment threads.

Legacy Bridge KC service business website positioning
PositioningHigh-Trust ServiceSenior Transitions

Senior transition + estate coordination

Legacy Bridge

Kansas City Metro

What was broken

Legacy Bridge KC had a valuable, high-trust service, but families don't always know whether to search for a move manager, organizer, estate cleanout coordinator, downsizing consultant, or simply someone trustworthy to help them make a plan.

What we fixed

We organized the messaging around relief and coordination, framing Legacy Bridge as one point of contact for a complicated transition. The site now explains the work plainly while matching the emotional stakes of senior moves, downsizing, and estate logistics.

The actual lesson

Pretty is cute. Clear gets hired.

Every one of these projects had a different surface problem: no site, old site, bad forms, weak SEO, messy messaging, wrong audience, weak landing page. Underneath, though, it was the same issue: people couldn't understand why they should trust the business fast enough.
