Project brief

How did we build our own website and search setup?

An internal development project connected positioning, publishing, resources, and interactive tools. Its post-launch review separated completed foundations from the work still needed.

01

What did our internal website project include?

This self-directed project brought together the work involved in developing a professional-services website over time. It was an internal development engagement, rather than a commissioned client project.

The work covered how the business explained its services, how the website looked and functioned, what visitors could learn before contacting the team, and the technical details supporting discovery and measurement.

The project also created a practical environment for evaluating the work after publication. A completed design and a working URL were treated as the beginning of review, rather than proof that every search or conversion question had been answered.

02

How did we develop the message and visual design?

The website's message was refined around a defined audience and a clearer service offering. The visual system was redesigned, including typography, color, photography treatment, layout, and the presentation of the people behind the business.

Service, pricing, about, and contact pages gave visitors distinct destinations for different decisions. Pricing and inquiry language were revised so the website's promises matched the actual offer and the process for requesting a conversation.

Business contact information was standardized across the website. Earlier work also addressed obsolete deployment URLs and reviewed inconsistent off-site business information. Unresolved publisher updates remained separate from changes completed on the site itself.

03

What website content did we write?

The publishing work extended beyond the main service pages. It included practical articles, a collection of plain-English explanations of search and measurement tools, and a resource library of worksheets, checklists, and planning materials.

These resources gave visitors several ways to understand a problem before deciding whether to ask for help. They also created a broader content system that could be reviewed for overlap, accuracy, and relevance to the business's services.

The site included two different interactive tools: a guided assessment of website clarity and trust, and a limited automated check of technical page basics. Their purposes were distinct. The self-assessment used an unscored starting state, while the technical checker returned individual findings rather than claiming to be a complete audit.

04

What search and tracking work did we complete?

Implementation included page titles and descriptions, canonical URLs, structured data, internal links, a sitemap, and content available in the initial HTML. Contact actions and inquiry forms were integrated with clear next-step explanations.

Analytics and interaction-tracking work formed part of the implementation history, alongside visitor consent controls. Configuration and code presence were treated separately from proof that every event arrived correctly or that every inquiry had a known source.

A live audit confirmed successful responses across the sitemap inventory, unique titles and descriptions in that inventory, canonical tags, readable page content, and available sampled downloads and images. Those observations establish specific technical behavior at the time of the audit, not final search rankings or universal performance.

05

What did the review show still needed work?

The review also identified the next priorities: deeper commercial content, better organization of project evidence, clearer separation among overlapping articles, consistent pricing metadata, and a correction to a misleading structured-data finding in the automated checker. These remain further work.

06

What does this internal project demonstrate?

The completed work produced a redesigned website, a defined service structure, a substantial educational library, reusable resources, interactive tools, and observable technical search foundations. No verified traffic, lead, or revenue increase is claimed for this project.
