Project brief

What did we change on this advisory business’s website?

Clearer advisory offers and repaired inquiry tracking accompanied a documented comparison of 15 to 31 search clicks. The comparison has source and timing limits.

01

What did the advisory business need?

The business needed to make its services easier to understand and its marketing activity easier to evaluate.

Some prospects misunderstood who the firm served. Different offerings needed clearer explanations of scope and fit. The website also had duplicate location content and inconsistent URL formats, while an important article received search impressions without attracting many clicks.

Advertising and tracking introduced additional problems. Some paid searches were poorly matched to the intended audience, and conversion settings didn't consistently represent the actions the business actually cared about.

02

What did we build for its audience?

We completed website-development work and launched a dedicated audience-specific landing page with a revised inquiry path, a thank-you page, analytics, and form-conversion tracking.

Later work separated the firm's services more clearly and added a referral page to address confusion about client fit. A dedicated page explained a higher-level advisory offering, with supporting navigation, biography, and service-positioning changes.

The content work also included practical educational articles, clearer author information, and references supporting technical claims. Existing pages were revised so visitors could understand the service, the relevant expertise, and the next step.

What could visitors do on the updated site?

Website and campaign repairs were paired with measurement that distinguished different visitor actions.

03

What did we fix in the website and campaigns?

SEO work included rewriting titles and descriptions, consolidating duplicate location pages, correcting URL inconsistencies, standardizing business naming, and strengthening internal connections. Subsequent updates improved consultation options, location content, redirects, and sitemap information.

Campaign work refined keywords, exclusions, advertisements, and settings. Broad targeting and malformed destination URLs were addressed. Conversion settings were corrected as additional issues were identified.

A separate email campaign was designed, approved, and scheduled. Its production belongs in the completed-work record; delivery and response figures require the sending-platform report.

04

How did we improve tracking and protect private details?

Tracking changes distinguished calculator use, scheduling clicks, and phone clicks. Forms received duplicate-submission protection. Sensitive calculator outputs were removed from analytics events, and sensitive fields were masked in session recordings.

These changes made individual interactions more clearly defined. A click to call, an appointment action, and a completed inquiry were no longer useful to discuss as though they were all the same event.

05

How did search clicks change across the recorded periods?

A dated performance update recorded these Search Console figures across two consecutive fifteen-day periods:

Recorded search comparison across consecutive fifteen-day periods
MeasureEarlier periodLater period
Organic search clicks1531
Search impressions2,7203,640
Reported click-through rate0.6%0.9%

The click increase was sixteen additional clicks. The figures come from a contemporaneous performance update; the original analytics export has not been independently rechecked for this case study. Average position worsened in the same comparison, so the increase in clicks doesn't mean every ranking improved. Some of the later work described above took place after this comparison and cannot be credited with causing it.

06

What does the search comparison tell us?

The engagement delivered clearer service positioning, repaired website and campaign paths, more specific measurement, and a documented increase in search clicks during the comparison period. It doesn't establish that inquiries, new advisory clients, or revenue doubled, or that one individual change caused the movement.
